AB - In the 2000s, it was argued that my longing for the song of the “Tearful Duman River”, known as an unknown independence activist, was a big socialist Park Heon-young(2004) and a nationalist independence activist Moon Chang-Hak(2016). Even though Kim Yong-Ho wrote all three verses, two views that another person wrote the first verse appeared after the 1980s. The purpose of this study is to establish the position of the lyricist of the first verse and the lyricist of the first verse.
The main point of Park Heon-young's theory is that the lyricist Kim Yong-ho is not a real person, and actor Kim Yong-hwan has heard the news of Park Heon-young's escape from the Duman River where he was filming. In addition, Kim Yongm-Ho was a real person, and Kim Yong-Hwan was not an actor but a singer and composer and had nothing to do with the “Tearful Duman River”.
Moon Chang-Hak's theory refers to the composer Lee Shi-Woo as if he wrote not only the composition but also the lyrics. Even though Moon Chang-Hak's actions, arrest, trials, and executions were all carried out in the land of Joseon, he was linked to Domun(도문) of Manchuria(만주), which is known as the background of the birth of the song because he was from the Duman River. It is also not convincing that he has been searching for his husband without hearing the news of the arrest, trial, and firing of Moon Chang-Hak, which has been reported stadily through the newspaper.
Lastly, this study examined Kim Yong-Ho's theory, Lee Shi-Woo and Kim Yong-Ho's theory, and Han Myung-Cheon and Kim Yong-Ho's theory in turn, and concluded that Han Myung-Cheon and Kim Yong-Ho's theory, in short, Han Myung-Cheon made the first verse and Kim Yong-Ho completed the second and third verses. As a background, I heard the situation that it was an unknown literary youth at the time of the announcement, and after the division, it was difficult to establish a North Korean poet Han Myung-Cheon, who became as a famous poet of North Korea.
“Tearful Duman River” is a song that rises to the rank of a national song that the two Koreas love together. As a result, I think that my nostalgic nymph and the first lyricist have found my place.
