ABSTRACT

There are not so many criticisms on Park, Kyungni's poems because she was known as a novelist, but we can discover a lot of lyrical characteristics in her poetry, which we can find in her novels. She had been written some poems when she tried to write novel, and published 5 collections of poems since 1980s, when she was writing 'To ji(land)' IV and V. In her poems, she recognized her fortune, which made her a writer, as on divine punishment and a life of exile. She selected poetry as a means of reflecting herself, free from her own toil to write. Through her poems, in which she confessed her own family history including that of her mother and grandmother, we come to know her true inner heart as a lyric poet, which is not be able to know through her novels. The essence of Park, Kyungni's literature is the idea on life, on whose foundation lies the natural point of No-Jang Thought. She selected poetic diction in order to pursue the essence of life through the objects of human beings, nature, and other things. She was able to find out that searching for her own self is like reflecting courses which could be attained No-Jang's idea, which assert that there are no difference between human being and nature, human being and things beyond contemplating things. Park, KyungRi's poems represent her own poetics to find out what human being and his life are, and it is a poetics of the natural life of ease.
