ABSTRACT

<Gragongjeongchungjikjeolgi> is a super full-length story with Gu Jun as a main character, who was a prime minister of North Song, China. The representative one among those is conflict for the position of heir. The conflict for the position of heir in this work broke out when the official wife Jo produced a son Gu Jun. The patriarch Gu Yeong insisted that the son of Jo must be the heir of Gu family saying that he was the qualified son. Seok executed her plots to do a harm to Jo and her son Gu Jun three times by devising schemes to keep her son's position as the heir. But Gu family was to be destroyed by this third accusation. Gu Jun appeared at that time to save his father. The reason the author planed plot in this way is first, the author presents Gu family's crisis to collapse due to Seok's wrong pursuit of desire, and second, establishment of Gu Jun's position as a patriarch of Gu family by his role in saving Gu family's getting out of collapsing crisis. In the process of dealing in confliction for the position of official heir in <Gragongjeongchungjikjeolgi>, how Gu Jun grew up as the official heir of the family could be confirmed. Gu Jun grew up from a baby cling to his mother with no ability to do anything to a person with outstanding judgement and filial piety which was necessity of the time. This is super full-lengh novel's typical process of growth of main character.
