ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to examine the aspects and meanings of the sexual stories of the elderly in the Sexual Funny Stories of the Joseon Dynasty. In this paper, the study targeted 20 episodes of the Sexual Funny Stories that the elderly appeared, so Based on the subject of speech, it was divided into male and female senior. In the Sexual Funny Stories, the elderly male often have genitals that cannot be inserted. And it said that the powerless old man's genitalia is called a deerskin, and the elderly male's genitalia is said to be unsatisfactory. Elderly male’s sex abilities may also compare post-sexual responses to younger people. The Sexual Funny Stories of the elderly female expresses the sexual achievement and satisfaction of the elderly. Even though sexual desire is human instinct, the incompetent and improper appearance of the elderly's sex in the Sexual Funny Stories is due to the perception of the elderly in the Joseon Dynasty and the characteristics of the enjoyment of the Sexual Funny Stories. The problem of the elderly, characterized by physical aging in social status, is related to the problem of power. If you look at the concept of social power of the elderly, elderly gender inconsistently manifested that comes from the perspective of looking at an elderly male who does not have the performance power as capital. In the case of elderly women, the target of sexual activity is unstable and irregular compared to the elderly men. This is because women in the Joseon Dynasty were the most marginalized positions in terms of gender and status. In terms of characteristics and enjoyment of Sexual Funny Stories, the Sexual Funny Stories involves a slanderous gaze on the elderly who do not play the expected sexual role as men. In the case of the elderly woman, compared to young women, having a sexual desire with the degenerated old man's body becomes a laugh.
