ABSTRACT

In the hyperconnected era, AI diagnostics and remote care reduce direct interaction, highlighting the need for empathy in medicine. This study explores how relational and embodied empathy can be fostered through narrative medicine. Educational tools such as literature, picturebooks, simulations, reflective writing, and emotional journaling are reviewed as effective methods for fostering empathic capacities in healthcare providers. A structured framework for integrating these tools into empathy education is proposed. Narrative-based approaches are shown to enhance emotional connection between clinicians and patients, ultimately contributing to improved patient-centered care in increasingly digital clinical environments.
