Article 9. Review and Publication Fees


1. The manuscript review fee is 90,000 KRW per manuscript, payable upon submission prior to the review process. <Amended Jul. 27, 2023>

(However, 1) The review fee is valid for a single review cycle only. <Amended Jul. 27, 2023> 2) If the submitting author’s affiliated institution requires a lump-sum payment of review and publication fees in accordance with its research fund management guidelines, the review fee may be collected after the final review is concluded.) 3) If an additional reviewer is selected and assigned to the manuscript, an additional review fee of 30,000 KRW must be paid. <Amended Oct. 23, 2025>

If the reviewer changes following a revision, the author shall pay an additional review fee of 30,000 KRW for each new reviewer. <Amended Oct. 23, 2025>.

3. Upon confirmation of publication, the publication fee must be deposited into the research institute's account: 300,000 KRW per paper for research papers supported by research funding, and 200,000 KRW for papers without such funding. <Amended July 27, 2023>

4. If a printed copy of the published paper is requested, the author shall bear the additional cost. <Amended Jul. 27, 2023>

5. Review fees and publication charges for special feature or commissioned papers are subject to the same principles as those for standard submitted papers. <Amended July 27, 2023>
