ABSTRACT

This paper shows a relation of narcissism and woman poetry in the early of 20c of Korea. Free love and writing were the conditions of Korean feminism practice of the early of 20c. The feministes were single, divorced, and intellectual women who had no good relation and settlement with their patriarchal lovers. Ironically their lost lovers was a motif for their writing which was a more wise feminism practice than free love. They wrote to resist the patriarchal society politically. KimMyoungSoon and NoCheonMyoung were also single and intellectual women who were narcissistes. Their poetry represented of narcissism is based on the ideal world. Because the ideal world is a narcissism code to subvert the patriarchal society. Their poetry is composed of double narcissism selves, the alienated self and the ideal self. Furthermore, two women’s poetry stand for a writing of modern self-discovery in the early of 20c of Korea.
