ABSTRACT

This is a book review of Foucault which is written by Gilles Deleuze. Though Foucault is recognized as a political-philosopher or a social-philosopher or a ethicist in korean intellectual society, Foucault replaces Foucault as a ontologist. This book shows that the thought of foucault is consistence when we read Foucault’s writing by viewpoint of ontology. Though This book is written in order <énoncé>→<Knowledge>→<Power>→<The Outside and The Self>, this review starts from the topic <The Outside and The Self>. After discussing this topic this review explains <Power>=<Relation between forces>. After that this review explains ‘Singular points’ which the Power pass through and serialization of this points by The Althusser’s philosophy. After disscussing this, This review explains Knowledge which means the inside of stratum as <the actual> and Power which is at outside of stratum as <the virtual>. This review confirms the consistency of foucault's thought by the onlological viewpoint This review also shows this philosophy is a ontology of <The Outside> and <The Surface>. Finally this review shows correlation between thought of Foucault and that of Deleuze.
