‘Temperature’ is a topic that is frequently discussed in everyday life, ‘따뜻하다’ and ‘温/暖’ which are frequently used among temperature adjectives. This study examines the usage patterns of Korean ‘따뜻하다’ and Chinese ‘温/暖’ through the use of Korean and Chinese linguistic data and language data. The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of Korean and Chinese language culture. The common usage ranges of ‘따뜻하다’ in Korean and ‘温/暖’ in Chinese are ‘temperature’, ‘emotion’, ‘attitude’, ‘personality’, ‘synesthesia’, ‘environment’, ‘relationship’. In the ‘temperature’ range, both Korean and Chinese are used as temperature concepts, but the detection and recognition of food are different. In the ‘synesthesia’ range, synaptic angle conversion is the same. In the range of ‘personality’, ‘emotion’, and ‘attitude’, it is used in a positive sense. In the scope of ‘environment’, the meaning of the temperature adjective given to ‘environment’ differs according to sentence context. Korean ‘따뜻하다’ can be expressed in the ‘relation’ range, and Chinese ‘温/暖’ can be expressed in the ‘degree’ range.
