ABSTRACT

The problem of existence in the history of philosophy is to ask for answers to what the world is. The answer is the principle of existence of a living being in the world. The goal of this study is to reveal the meaning of the world by studying the meaning of image. It's about revealing the capacity of existence, and it's also about exploring how much freedom a person can realize. Images are expressions of our empirical lives, which we sense and perceive. It is incomplete and indeterminate. In the history of philosophy it has always been used to justify why the whole exists. Philosophy in this context treated images as illusions. But Bergson, at the heart of our discussion, argues that it is 'real'. For him, what is real is images. This affirms our specific lives. By affirming one's life, we can live without relying on anything else. That's where you discover where your potential lies. That means that we live freely.
