AB - The purpose of this article is to examine the placeness of the old Gyeongchun Line Gyeonggi area and suggest ways to use it as a future cultural heritage. It investigated and handled only 11 stations in Gyeonggi area among the Gyeongchun Line lines that are currently closed due to the Gyeongchun Line double-track project.
The first thing that this article paid attention to was the work of recording the current status and characteristics of 11 stations in Gyeonggi area on the old Gyeongchun Line. After urban development and double-track electrification projects, most of the abandoned stations in Gyeonggi area have been destroyed. Destruction of a place leads to destruction of the memory that the space has. Currently, memories and romance of MT and travel are disappearing at a fast pace. Each local government is recognizing the problem and actively trying to restore and re-light the closed stations of the Gyeongchun Line.
The next thing that paid attention to was the humanities value of the old Gyeongchun Line in Gyeonggi area and how to utilize it. In order to investigate the humanities value of Gyeonggi area on the old Gyeongchun Line, the closed station was expanded beyond the meaning of a single place and point to the meaning of a connected line. In addition, in order to use it as a local cultural content, it was divided into two areas with characteristics of "history and traditional culture" and "humanities and popular culture" respectively, and proposed ways to use it.
