ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to examine the meaning of ethical relationships based on data and network in society and to explore the ontological conception of digitalized ‘I’ and human learners immersed in virtual reality in the context of digital lifecycle. In the network of digital and AI technologies, human ‘I’ as original I(O-I) was overlayed by digitalized ‘I’(D-I) and relational others AI has constructed in data and network. In the moment, individuals have the potential possibility of ethical relationships in using AI so that we cannot directly meet, see, and talk to others in future. In that Generative AI has formed ethical relationships and existence between AI and humans, particularly the AI tool of Virtual Reality (VR) in educational learning for humans has also influenced on the ontological conception of human learners. For the fundamental reflection on human existence in the ethical relationship between AI and humans, therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the ontological meaning of O-I and D-I in the AI tool of VR.
