ABSTRACT

ZnO co-doped Er:LiNbO3 single crystal thin films have been grown on LiNbO3 (001) substrate by liquid phaseepitaxy (LPE) method. The melts of ZnO co-doped Er:LiNbO3 was fixed Er2O3 concentration (1 mol%) and diferent ZnOconcentrations 3 and 5 mol%. The crystallinity of ZnO co-doped Er : LiNbO3 films became beter than the LiNbO3substrate. At ZnO 5 mol% concentration, the surface of ZnO co-doped Er : LiNbO3 film is afected by compressive stressalong both the perpendicular and the paralel direction. Also the surface of ZnO 3 mol% co-doped Er:LiNbO3 film issmother than the original LiNbO3 substrate surface.
