ABSTRACT

In this paper, we propose a new track fusion algorithm to improve the track fusion accuracy of combat systems. Existing target fusion algorithms mainly use position error as a judgment criterion when fusing target information from multiple sensors. However, in a situation where there are many tracks with small position errors, incorrect fusion may occur. This makes existing algorithms inaccurate and risks providing inaccurate target information to the operator. To address these issues, this paper presents an improved track fusion algorithm to improve accuracy. The proposed track fusion algorithm improves accuracy by adding not only position error but also sensor cycle and track update time error as judgment conditions for fusion. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, various scenarios are designed and tested in a warship combat system test environment, and the test results show that the accuracy is 20.69% p higher than the existing one, proving its efficiency and accuracy.
