ABSTRACT

This study examined the structural relationships among disability acceptance, self-efficacy, and interpersonal competence to identify psychosocial factors affecting job satisfaction among people with disabilities. Data from 1,440 respondents in the 8th wave of the second Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) and bootstrapping. Results showed that disability acceptance had a significant positive direct effect on job satisfaction, and indirect effects mediated by self-efficacy and interpersonal competence were also significant. These findings suggest that disability acceptance strengthens psychological resources and social competencies, thereby enhancing job adaptation and satisfaction, and highlight the need for integrated intervention strategies such as counseling, psychotherapy, awareness programs, and competence development. However, as the study used cross-sectional data and a sample limited to certain industries, generalization is limited. Future research should employ longitudinal data and more diverse occupational groups to validate these findings.
