ABSTRACT

This study examined associations among movement behaviors, latent metabolic risk, and health-related quality of life(EQ-5D) among Korean adults aged 40 years and older. Data were drawn from the 2024 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(N=3,894). Sampling-weighted structural equation modeling was used. Walking and resistance exercise were negatively associated with metabolic risk, whereas sedentary time was positively associated with metabolic risk. Metabolic risk was negatively associated with EQ-5D. Resistance exercise and sedentary time showed significant indirect associations with health-related quality of life(EQ-5D) through metabolic risk. Walking also showed a significant indirect association, although the magnitude of the effect was relatively small.
