AB - 2001～3년도에 출판된 31권의 초급자용 텍스트에서 다루어진 회화연습을 분류하여 학습자의 회화문 창조에의 가담이라는 관점에서 검토를 하였다. 결과, 23권이 대입에 의한 연습 중심으로 구성하고 있다. 이처럼 학습자의 재량이 관여 안 되는 경향은 학습의욕･수업의 활성화라는 점에서 바람직하지 않다. 새 항목을 도입할 때, 부담이 안 가도록, 먼저 대입을 취급한다 해도 같은 과가 학습자의 결정이 관여되지 않은 채로 끝나지 말아야 한다. 또한 “선택” “일부자유” 등에서 학습자로부터 끌어내려고 하는 내용에 관하여, A군은 [자신에 관한 사실]에 이어 가공된 화제인 [문제 해결 형]의 발화가 많으며 언어 운용 면에 초점을 두지만, B군은 [자신에 관한 사실]에 이어 [일반적 사실]이 많아 사실 계 발화를 중시한다. 외국어 학습을 실제 커뮤니케이션에 가깝게 하기위해 가장 적극적으로 말할 수 있는 ‘자신에 관계가 있는 내용’을 많이 취급하고, 다음에 ‘사실적 내용’･‘상상력을 발휘할 수 있는 내용’을 중시해야 한다.【문제 해결 형】은 언어 운영 면을 보충하기 위해 도입하는 것이 이상적이다. 따라서 ‘사실’ ‘자기 자신’ ‘상상력’을 중시한 회화연습을 적극적으로 취급하면 보다 학습자가 주체적으로 참여할 수 있는 텍스트로 다가갈 수 있을 것이다.
