AB - 敬語の中でも複雜な誤用が起こされやすいのが謙讓語である。それで日本の新聞記事でも謙讓語の誤用が目につく。 謙讓語には性格の違うものが集まっていて、學者によって謙讓語の分類も多樣である。
謙讓語の性格は主語、補語、聞き手の上下關係の規定によって、尊敬の對象を表わすが、この關係の規定の不適切さや個人差などで、謙讓表現の誤用が發生する。 この謙讓表現の誤用は主に謙讓語の尊敬語化、美化語化への誤用が大部分である。
また主語と補語を共に高める二方面敬語では補語を高くする謙讓表現が必要であり、聞き手による敬語抑制とか個人差によって謙讓表現のみだれが表われている。
