ABSTRACT

본고에서는 뇌과학적 어프로치에 의한 제2언어 습득연구를 일본어교육연구의 새로운 연구방법의 하나로써 소개하고자 한다. 먼저, 뇌과학적 연구의 배경, 뇌활동 측정장치, 대뇌 언어처리 영역에 관해 간략하게 살펴보겠다. 다음으로 뇌기능화상법을 이용한 제2언어 습득에 대한 실증적인 연구(例：Jeong et al., 2007a; 2007b; 2008)를 소개하고, 제2언어 처리 및 습득에 관여하는 신경기반에 어떠한 요인들이 영향을 미치는가에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 구체적으로는 모어와 제2언어 간의 언어학적 유사점과 상이점이 문장처리시의 뇌활동에 영향을 끼치는 중요한 요인임을 확인하고, 제2언어의 학습방법에 따라 제2언어 처리시의 대뇌 메커니즘이 다르게 나타날 가능성에 대해서 논한다.
