ABSTRACT

As international immigration types diversify, Korea is entering rapidly into multicultural society. Therefore, practical and scientific concerns to children in multicultural families are required significantly. In fact, [life satisfaction]of Korean adolescents is the lowest among OECD countries. Also, children in multicultural families show difficulties in adjusting to school and daily life. In particular, rearing-attitudes of parents who have a cultural conflict unsolved may increase psychological problems to their children, which may affect on the development of ego-resiliency for their children. The base which everyone should regard each other as equal individuals and convert isolations resulting from the difference into the life story should be positively established. In order to make adolescents in multicultural families to show their resources and talents in future Korean society, Christian counseling should support them to improve their egoresiliency and to contribute to social integration by helping them in various ways and more specifically.
