AB - This study aims at preventing suicidal attempts of people with borderline personality disorder who are highly likely to destroy themselves in mental disorder and making suggestions about Christian counselling care. Borderline personality disorder indicates repeated self-inflicted injuries and higher suicidal impulses. People with borderline personality disorder have fear about loss and being abandoned, impulse, frequent anger burst, and unstable interpersonal relationship and emotional status, and it is difficult to study with and about them. Therefore, the studies about non-clinical groups with the disorder are more actively done than those on clinical groups. Considering them, for this study, the researcher conducted individual in-depth interviews with interviewees who were classified as those with features with borderline personality disorder with 39p points in the borderline personality disorder scale, The collected data were analyzed by using Giorgi's methods among phenomenological research methods. For the research results were categorized into the following seven topic groups: loss of will to live, preception life as suffering, vulnerable emotions and self, impulse of suicide, lack of relationship, and weak reason of existence are classified as risk factors to induce self-destructive behaviors. In conclusion, they show self-destruction to serious level of pseudo-suicidal action due to vulnerable self and lack of emotional control. Based on suggestions of the results, the study discussed directions of Christian counseling to alleviate tendency of self-destruction.
