ABSTRACT

This study as a literature research is to clarify on Christian counseling in so-called ‘with COVID-19’ era. The researcher emphasized that there are four influences of pandemic as psycho-somatic problems: fatigue and sense of fatigue, relative aggression, isolation and alienation and mentalized fear. Christian counseling should solve these problems. There are also two kind things emotional anxiety and impossibility of sustainability in mentalized fear contains Christian counseling in ‘with COVID-19’ era will face radical change in psychological and spiritual conditions. In particular, online counseling, contact-free counseling and remote counseling in counseling methods will increase suddenly. Also, questions on theodicy will be questioned in counseling contents. Christian counseling have to make alternative counseling about fatigue and sense of fatigue, relative aggression, isolation and alienation and mentalized fear. First, the firm hope such as heavenly hope and kingdom of heaven will be the best method as a non-drug treatment to relieve fatigue and sense of fatigue. Also, to have ‘pleasant beliefs’ is the best method for solution both psychologically and spiritually. Second, ‘Immanuel therapy’ is the solution method for relative aggression and isolation, alienation. Third, it is possible to resolve the mentalized and emotional fear using means of grace. In conclusion, Christian counselors should focus on the essence of faith in the era of ‘with COVID-19’.
