ABSTRACT

As the Republic of Korea entered a super-aging society and the elderly population increased, the question of how to prepare for death well became one of the main tasks of old age. Currently, death preparation education for Christians and the general public is similarly conducted under the same name of well-dying. This study proposes the name 'biblical well-dying', which has a Christian identity distinct from 'well-dying'. Well-dying is to prepare for the outcome of life, a good death, in which human subjectivity drives life and protects human dignity. Biblical well-dying is when a Christian looks at eternal life and lives by expressing the sovereignty of Christ only according to the words of the Bible. Biblical well-dying education should take the method of directly exhorting the Word, as Jay. E. Adams insisted in nouthetic confrontation. The content of the biblical well-dying program should include human life and death, eternal life, heaven and hell, attitudes toward death, and sanctified life. Through the program, participants in the biblical well-dying program distinguish God's will and move on to a sanctified life that does their best in spiritual battles. This refers to the attitude of Christians in life that is renewed by words, modeled after Christ, rejoices, appreciates, and wins.
