ABSTRACT

This study developed an online bibliotherapy program for middle-aged Christian women based on Clinebell's Wholistic Health theory and examined its effects on resilience, positive and negative emotions, and spiritual well-being. The program was designed using the Kim Chang-dae model and the ADDIE model, incorporating Bible reading, worship, spiritual reflection, and the use of picture books to enhance holistic health. The study employed a pre-test, post-test, and follow-up experimental design with 26 Christian women aged 40 to 65, divided into an experimental group (n=13) and a control group (n=13), over a total of 12 sessions. The results showed significant improvements in physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual health, with increased resilience, positive emotions, and spiritual well-being, and a reduction in negative emotions. Participants experienced self-reflection and emotional expression through bibliotherapy with picture books and rediscovered the meaning of life through faith-based reinterpretation. This study examines the practical applicability of an online bibliotherapy program to support the holistic health of middle-aged Christian women, proposes a model for use in Christian counseling, and explores ways to enhance their quality of life.
