ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine empirically the relationship between servant leadership, organizational citizenship behavior and organizational performance. The analytical result shows that there is the causal relationship between servant leadership, organizational citizenship behavior and organizational performance. Specifically, the research finds that not only does servant leadership positively affect organizational citizenship behavior and organizational performance, but also does organizational citizenship behavior have influence on organizational performance in a positive way. Most importantly, the study investigates the moderating effect of organizational citizenship behavior on servant leadership and organizational performance, which previous studies have not paid attention to. It points out that servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior can be one of the practical behavior methods for improving organizational performance in public organizations.
