ABSTRACT

This study is intended to look into the effects of national competence standards(NCS)-based training on organization adjustment and vocation transition in early retires' lifelong education by corporate restructuring. To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to 265 early retires who are being educated in university based lifelong education centers. The findings are as follows. The training for the ‘development of NCS’ had a positive effect on the ‘organization adjustment’ in their lifelong education, adopting a hypothesis 1. Their ‘organization adjustment’ had a positive effect on their ‘job settlement’, adopting a hypothesis 2. Their ‘organization adjustment’ had a positive effect on their ‘vocation transition’, adopting a hypothesis 3. Their ‘organization adjustment’ had not a positive effect on their ‘development of NCS’ and ‘vocation transition’, rejecting a hypothesis 4. Their ‘organization adjustment’ had a positive effect on their ‘development of NCS’ and ‘job settlement’, adopting a hypothesis 5. As for the findings stated above, it suggests that their numerical ability, self-management ability, communication ability, problem-solving ability and resources utilization ability as factors for the development of NCS in their lifelong education help organization adjustment and job settlement for new vocation to be positive mechanisms.
