ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is a determination of the factors associated to difficulties in access to health, medical, and welfare services among elderly person in the rural area of Gangwon province and identify community care service need assessment and traffic environment. Study provides information for design of community care service in rural areas. To fulfill the study, community survey was conducted among 117 elderly people who used services of senior citizen center located in Heungeop-myeon, Wonju City, One-way ANOVA analysis were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 25.0 version. Need assessment of community care services were high in case of vaccination, and medical service. There was a difference between personal attribute of elderly person and area of living. Also, traffic services were lacking in case of Heungeop community center which is main facility to provide community care services.
