The goal of this study was to develop of online career content for third-year middle school students who utilize the A Company platform, which is used by learners who specialize in corporate education within the S Corporation group. This content, which has been underway since April 2023, investigates the possibility of creating web-based materials for middle school career education. The study explores the value of career education at this point because of the growing importance of online content for career education as a result of digital transformation (DX) and the effects of COVID-19, especially in light of the impending decisions that third-year middle school students will make regarding their high school enrollment and career paths. To develop the online content for third-year middle school students, the study reviewed both the 2015 revised curriculum direction and the 2022 revised direction. The analysis included a review of the themes in the middle school [Career and Occupation] textbooks, extracting key topics and essential learning elements. Based on the findings, lesson plans and content development were carried out. The development process included designing a prototype based on content development strategies and stage-specific learning strategies. The developed prototype underwent quality reviews from academic experts and professionals in the field. As consequently, the study's conclusions included research findings as well as recommendations for developing career education content for young people that take the changing labor market into account.

This paper aims to draw implications for future research on edutainment with particular focus on applying edutainment in the classroom setting through a stock-taking effort of Korean research on edutainment. Employing multiple frequency analysis and cross-analysis of the findings between this paper and our previous trend analysis of edutainment research in Korea (Lee & Kim, 2015), we have analyzed a total of 54 research, 40 peer-reviewed articles and 14 dissertations, related to edutainment that have been published from 2015 to 2022. We primarily find that first, through a comparison of the naïve frequency of edutainment research papers before and after 2015, the number of research publications post-2015 are in decline which contrasts with the trend of increasing academic attention to edutainment pre-2015. Second, with regards to the type of edutainment’s application in the classroom, we find that the use of the latest technology such as virtual and augmented reality has increased. Moreover, the use of edutainment has appeared for a wider variety of educational contents. In addition, when it comes to the effectiveness of edutainment in education, the importance of mutual interactivity rather than academic scores appears to be highlighted. Drawing from these findings, we present the direction of future research on edutainment’s application to educational settings for strengthened effectiveness of edutainment.

This study is a study conducted based on the learner's learning experience in the context of online class. As a result, it was found that the interaction with the professor had a significant effect on the level of competency improvement and the expected level of competency improvement. Second, it was found that the recognition of the advantages of online classes affects the challenging learning experience. Third, it was found that the challenging learning experience mediates the content of interaction with the professor and the degree of competency improvement, the content of interaction with the professor, and the expected degree of competency improvement. Fourth, it was found that the challenging learning experience mediates the recognition of the merits of online classes and the degree of competency improvement, the recognition of the advantages of online classes, and the expectation of capacity improvement. Finally, it was found that the degree of competency improvement mediates the content of interaction with professors, the expected level of competency improvement, the challenging learning experience, and the expected level of competency improvement. The results of this study can be significant in deriving considerations to improve the quality of online classes.
