ABSTRACT

Purpose : The population group of study was newly enlisted soldiers who just finished the basic military training. The study focused on influence of a korean style communication group counseling program on our population group’s human relations and adaptability in a military environment. Methods : This program recommended in the study composed of professional military counseling activity and operational manual. Throughout the two preliminary experiments, we decided to use above on experimental group and another general style used program on comparative group. The program was executed on unit A. We measured communication ability, human relations and adaptability before and after the experiment. In each group, there were 19 applicant soldiers per the minimum of cohen's formular. Results : After ANCOVA analysis, the result demonstrated that experimental and comparative groups scored higher points in communication ability and adaptability than control group. Especially, the significance in human relation from experimental group was quite different from that of last study. Conclusion : The program influenced new enlisted soldiers in a positive way. Therefore the study has been achieving a changeable goal and also assured that professional counseling for enlisted soldiers may adapt and utilize the program to prevent soldiers who trouble adapting in service.
