AB - Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of nursing professionalism, resilience, and self-leadership, which were known as nurses' internal resources, on clinical competency among nursing officers. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study, recruiting 191 nursing officers from military hospitals with at least 6 months of clinical experience as study subjects. Data were collected from September to December 2021 using the structured questionnaires and instruments. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The mean score for the clinical competency was 90.34±9.24 out of 100. The multiple regression analysis showed that influencing factors of the clinical competency were ‘higher resilience’ (β=0.28, p=<.001) and 'day work' (β=-2.92, p=.027). The model explained 34% of the variation in clinical competency of nursing officers. Conclusion: These findings suggest that interventions should be focused to internal resources such as resilience to improve clinical competency of nursing officers. The results of the study may be used as basic data for developing strategies to ultimately improve nursing services of military hospital.
