AB - This study aimed to reconsider the meaning of the Romanticism as a method to cope with anxiety of the literary world in Cho-sun and negative reality by reviewing discourse related to urgent situations of the age because of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937, being free from the view that considered the Romanticism of Yoo Chi-Jin as the extension of the theory of plays in big theaters according to the change of play environments. The Romanticism to Limwha was a mental principle to understand the nature of subjects through her own mind working as a lens of a writer. On the other hand, Yoo Chi-Jin perceived the Romanticism as logic of a writing method to overcome negative reality. Because he appreciated that realism only could portrait the pessimistic world of gloomy reality. The Romanticism of Yoo Chi-Jin did not take the context which was contained in the Romanticism of Limwha in 1935.
