ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on the fact that the science fiction drama Grid reproduces the real world and reflects the absurdity of reality, thereby reinforcing dramatic reality. Accordingly, the main factors that strengthen dramatic reality in Grid were analyzed. First, we looked at the fact that the advanced scientific technology of the present era allows us to recognize the possibility that the virtual world of science fiction, accompanied by scientific probability, ‘can happen in the real world.’ In Grid, the scientific plausibility of grid (artificial magnetic field) and time machine, which are science and technology materials, is examined against the background of the disaster situation of solar wind, a natural phenomenon, and based on this, it is established that Grid's extrapolative hypothesis is persuasive. The fact that Grid uses visual techniques to create a sense of reality was also taken as a subject of analysis. (As a result) It can be seen that the grid installed to protect humanity from the threat of solar wind in Grid and the time machine device that made the installation of the grid possible give persuasiveness to the extrapolative hypothesis of Grid due to scientific probability. there was. The dramatic imagination that the scientific and technological devices such as the grid and time machine that protect humanity function dually by the power that seeks to control humans by taking over them reproduced reality and reflected the negativity of reality. In this process, it was also revealed that the sense of reality was being strengthened through visual production. In conclusion, Grid showed that it differentiates itself as science fiction by creating a sense of reality and ensuring dramatic reality based on extrapolated hypotheses with scientific probability about a future society that has not yet arrived.
