AB - 초대 한국 교회는 우리말 우리글 발전에 큰 공을 세웠으나 안타깝게도 오늘의 교회는 국어 발전에 아무런 도움도 주지 못하는 처지가 되고 말았다한국 기독교에서 문법이나 의미론적으로 잘못된 표현을 쓰는 경우가 많은데 '죽으시다' 도 그 중에 하나이다성경 원문에서도 예수 그리스도의 죽음을 차별적인 단어로 표현한 예가 없으며 '죽으시다' 는 생명이 끊어질 때 쓰는 '죽다' 의 존칭형으로는 쓰이지 않는다 그럼에도 불구하고 한국 기독교는 '죽으시다' 는 표현이 신학에 맞는다는 이유를 내세워 합리화시키고 있다 '죽으시다' 가 예수 그리스도의 죽음을사실적으로 나타내 준다는 것이다 그러나 문법이나 어법에 맞지 않으면서 신학에도 맞는 경우는 찾아보기 힘들다우리말에서 몇몇 용어 즉 '말하다', '먹다', '자다', '죽다' 등은 높임말이 따로있어서 '말씀하시다', '잡수시다', '주무시다', '돌아가시다' 등으로 표현한다 혹시죽으시 형이 쓰이더라도 적격한 경우가 있는데 '형님께서 기가 죽으셨어' 가이에 해당한다한국의 기독교는 지금부터라도 우리말을 바로 쓰는 일에 관심을 기울여야하리라고 본다
