ABSTRACT

It is reported the fact were printed 50 copies of the Sutras in the TapInJeolMok from third to forth year of King Sejo(世祖)'s rule. This project is the largest of the Korea old printing works. As the result of this study, I know that this book have great value in spite of contain several errors. And the facts found are intention of Sutras printings, prepare and supply of goods, printing processing and binding and enshrinement. Additionally I got new and important facts. That is, 3 copies of the Sutras were printed out on printing papers are called the Soonwaeji(純倭紙) and Gyowaeji(交倭紙) in the third year of King Sejo(世祖)'s rule. Also 47 copies of the Sutras were printed out on printing papers are called Jabchoji(雜草紙) in the next year. This record means that there are an ample hope for Korean books, even if it were so printing books on similar Japanese paper.
