ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze physical and textual characteristics of the Jwari-gongsin, Jwari-wonjong-gongsin and Sunseong-jwari-gongsin-nokgwon. The major findings are as follows: (1) Jwari-gongsin is the title granted to 75 people who attended to have Seongjong as King of Joseon and Sunseong-jwari-gongsin-nokgwon is the certificate granted to those Jwari-gongsin. (2) Kim Gil-Tong's Sunseong-jwari-gongsin-nokgwon which was granted to Kim Gil-Tong on June, 1472, is a roll format and has been kept by the Chungbuk National University Museum.(3) In the beginning of Kim Gil-Tong's Sunseong-jwari-gongsin-nokgwon, recorded are the title of this bull and the name of the grantee. In the main text of its, recorded are words of praise for his distinguished service, all the names of 75 Gongsins, and the criteria of granting titles to people. And the end of its, listed are the granting date and including the stamp of ‘Joseon-Gukwang-Jiin’
