AB - This study is to examine the publications of seowon(서원) in Hamyang(함양), Kyongsang-Namdo(경상남도). The publication period of books is limited to 1910 that the Japanese annexation of Korea began.The 14 seowons were in the Hamyang district of present time. The 6 of these seowons are published 11 books and there is a possibility which will published 5 books. The books whose publishing is positive are 2 editions of Munheon-gong silgi(文獻公實紀), Dongmongsuji(童蒙須知), 2 editions of Gaeam-seonsaeng munjib(介庵先生文集) and Hadong jeong-ssi pabo(河東鄭氏派譜) of Namgye Seowon(溪書院), Chaemiheon-jeon-seonsaeng silgi(採薇軒全先生實記) of Seosan Seowon(西山書院), Goun-seonsaeng silgi(孤隱先生實記) of Songho Seowon (松湖書院), Galcheon-seonsaeng munjib(葛川先生文集), Donggye-seonsaeng munjib(桐溪先生文集) and Cheommodang-seonsaeng munjib(瞻慕堂先生文集) of Yongmun Seowon(龍門書院). Being possibility of publication are Gaeam- seonsaeng munjib and Munheon-gong silgi of Namgye Seowon, Okgae- seonsaeng munjib(玉溪先生文集) of Dangjeu Seowon(洲書院) and Yeonbong- seonsaeng munjib(蓮峯先生文集) and Yun-chungheon-gong Silgi(尹忠憲公實紀) of Baegyeon Seowon(柏淵書院). The bibliographies of these publications are described in detail and clearly identified as the publications of Seowons or its possibility. On examination, it revealed some facts as follows; First, individual works(別集) of the class of Collection of Works(集部) were published mainly.Second, only xylographic books were published in 17 to 18C and much wooden movable types books were published in 19C.Third, all of the 16 books are directly and indirectly related to the worshiper. Especially work(文集) or history(實紀) of worshipers which are directly related to the worshiper were published mainly.
