AB - The purpose of this research is to suggest the elements for authority records for corporate bodies which either belonged to or were related to the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, and present the draft of an authority record designed on the basis of these elements. In this paper, three steps of methodology were used as follows; First, International Standard Archival Authority Record for Corporate Bodies, Persons and Families, ISAAR(CPF) and case studies of the inside and outside of the country were examined to extract the essential elements for the Corporate Provenance Authority Records; Second, the activities and roles of the Provisional Government were analyzed to categorize the sources of records originated from the Provisional Government according to their functions; Finally, designed were the Corporate Provenance Authority Records for archives created by the Provisional Government. It is expected that the elements for authority records suggested in this research could be used for not only the records related with the Provisional Government, but also any historical documents originated from corporate bodies.
