AB - This study analyzed three kinds of Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk(新羅含月山祗林寺事蹟) of Gyeongju Girimsa temple and various kinds of temple materials. In addition, This study wanted to present basic data for reviewing the history of Girimsa Temple and its history. Major findings are as follow.
The Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk compares and reviews the book published in 1740 and 1794 and the Byulbon Girimsa Sajuk(別本祗林寺事蹟). In addition, this article reviewed and briefly explained the archival materials such as architectural records and book records in the Bulguksaji (佛國寺誌).
The Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk are divided into woodblocks(木版本), manuscripts(筆寫本) and Korean translations(國譯本). The woodblocks manuscripts(筆寫本) are kept in Girimsa temple, and Dongguk University Library etc. The Korean translations(國譯本) is in Girimsa temple. Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk published in 1794 and Byulbon Girimsa Sajuk(別本祗林寺事蹟) are listed in the Hamguksacha-ljeonseo(韓國寺刹全書) of Kwon, Sang-Ro, and their editions and the Original Text are unknown. This article summarizes the current state of the above books and the content of the bibliographic investigation.
The contents of the Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk were divided into Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk published in 1740 and 1794, Byulbon Girimsa Sajuk. The composition of the above books analyzed the name and the location of the temple, the construction and composition of the temple, the temple scenery, the temple originated narratives, the Hymns on sights of the temple, the postscript, the last colophon. In addition, this article examined the same and different aspects of the Silla Hamwolsan Girimsa Sajuk as a whole and analyzed the related contents.
