ABSTRACT

Professor Ha Dong-ho, who was a leading figure in the bibliography of modern and contemporary Korean literature, donated 55,000 pieces of Korean literature to the National Literature Museum. According to a temporary list based on donated materials, there are approximately 2,752 Korean ancient documents. The biggest feature of Ha Dong-ho’s ancient documents is that there are many commercial publications such as Banggak copies and materials related to publishing and distribution. In addition, there are many materials to look at the history of modern life and culture that spanned Japanese colonial era in the late Joseon Period. This shows the collection trends and aspects of Professor Ha Dong-ho’s life. While intensively collecting materials in the fields of Korean language, modern and contemporary literature, and new novels, he collected ancient texts that he thought were important. Professor Ha Dong-ho collected more than 300 kinds of accusations. He collected the rumors of the complaint in considerable variety. The accusations he collected can identify several features. First, in the case of Korean manuscripts, most of the transcription periods are in the Junghui Year or Daejeong Year. Second, in the case of Banggakbon novels, most of them are Gyeongpan or Wanpan Banggakbon novels, and Anseong version is hard to find. Third, there are three books. Fourth, it is characterized by the fact that it includes a new novel written in manuscript and some rumors of a new novel.
