ABSTRACT

Thisstudyistoexamineacaseoftheliterarytransitionfrom thelocal literaturetothecentralliterature,focusedonYoungDo零度whichledthe goldendaysofliterarymagazineinKwangjuandChonnam.YoungDo零度,thecoteriemagazinecreatedagreatsensationastheissueinliteraryhistory. Becauseitchallengedwithonlytheworkswhich refusedallofexisting customsofliterarycircles.Themagazinemadeitsfirstappearancein1955,andcametoacessationofpublicationaftertwoseries.At1966,itwas reissuedandthenew many authorsparticipated.Though itstoppedthe second numberofrevived magazine,YoungDo零度,thecoteriemagazine whichdepartedwithlocalliteratureandarrivedatcentralliteratureshowed thepossibilityoftheformer. TheworksinYoungDo零度,particularlyomittedfrom theparticipating author’scollection ofpoemsand the complete collection could become determinablethequalitiesofearlyworks.TheuncoveredtwopoemsofPark Bong-woowhowrotepoemsforreunificationofcountryalsoplacedonthe contextequally.‘Entanglements鐵條網’,aworkbeforeliterarycareerbecomes thebeginningofhispoemsofthedivisioninKoreaand‘pawnshoptoday오늘의 전당포’veryhardlyexpressespainfullivesundertherealityofdivided country. ParkSung-ryong’spoetictracesafterthebeginningofliterarycareerwere discoveredfrom hispoem ‘Fruits果實’.Hewasalready engrossed in the subjectofautumnfrom YoungDo零度,andactuallyhispoeticqualitieswere startedfrom that.Hisanotherpoems,‘Grapes葡萄’and‘SunnyPlace陽地’also relatedtothephenomenahappened in autumn.In addition,firstly Shin Dong-yeop’spoem,‘Boxer권투선수’wasnottheposthumouswork,secondly Kim Hyun’sanew criticism wasuncovered,finallyLeeSung-booandChoi Ha-rim’sonepoem omittedfrom theircollectionofpoemsorthecomplete collectionuncoveredrespectively. Despiteofthecessationofpublicationafterfourseries,thecoteriemagazine YoungDo零度problematicinthatitwastheepoch-makingeventofliterary historyandbroughtaboutanew trendinliterature.Especiallythefactthat mostauthorsofthemagazinewerepoetsfrom Kwangju and Chonnam becameanimpetustowardsprosperityofpoeticliteratureintheseplaces. MoreoverYoungDo零度achievesasignificanceinhistoryofpoetryinthatit showsacaseoftheliterary transition from thelocaltothecentralas overcomingthelimitationoflocalliteratureaswellasaddinganew pageto the history of central literature.
