AB - This study analyzes four authorized editions of Yun Dong-ju’s complete works published after the release of the 1999 photographic edition of his handwritten manuscripts. While previous studies mainly focused on identifying textual errors in the Jeongeumsa posthumous collection by comparing it with the photographic edition, this paper distinguishes itself by conducting a comparative analysis among the authorized editions themselves. Through examining differences in the processes of establishing the authoritative text, the arrangement of works, and editorial practices, the study reveals that despite sharing the same original source, each edition applies differing editorial principles. Adopting John Bryant’s theory of the fluid text as its theoretical framework, this paper reconsiders the concept of an ‘authorized text’ not as a singular, fixed product, but as a fluid text containing the narrative of revisions and variations among multiple versions.
