AB - The purpose of this study is to examine by which trend studies on The Fourfold grace (四恩) which can be one of key meanings of Won-buddhism have been arranged and suggest next research direction based on the examination. Arranging the studies on fourfold grace by subject, it can be found to have been studied in terms of ontology, comprehensive creativity, and ecology. First, the past studies have shown a trend to focus on the same aspects of Il-Won and fourfold grace or the differences in terms of ontology. Studies that pay attention to the same aspects and the difference are found, which tend to differ by paying attention to the characteristics of Il-Won as a body and the characteristics of one as a phenomenon, assuming the monistic relationship between Il-Won and the fourfold grace. Sotaesan used dualistic terms, but this was an expediential expression to approach its essence. While the ontological study of fourfold grace reject the dualistic paradigm, it should lead to a transition in perspective that can mitigate issues such as earth risk and alienation, discrimination and hatred caused by dualism. Secondly, the studies on conceptual correlations of fourfold grace have clarified that Sotaesan did not create it autonomously. However, it is due to the creativity of Sotaesan that the attributes of all things in the universe is declared by grace because it is a "inclusive creativity" that integrates creation, innovation, and citation. Thirdly The fourfold grace which have been studied in terms of ecology is interpreted as a course necessary for dangerous situations of ecology. The charitable relationship established 'unlivable' grace has a wealth of meaning as the course on ecology. There is a trend of geocentric studies including globalogy with the spread of COVID-19. People have invested plenty of expectation in fourfold grace's implications from the viewpoint of globalogy at the instance of the times. Finally, I presented the tasks that the future research should pursue. It's the meeting of the fourfold grace and the globalogy. fourfold grace not only has various contacts with the globalogy, but can also supplement the practices that Western discourse has not noticed. In this respect, fourfold grace could be more popularized and socialized.
