AB - As a new term that appeared at the end of the 20th century, Hallyu(Korean Wave) is now becoming the cultural mainstream of the 21st century. Thanks to the exploding global demand, the government and the private sector are working together to open a new dimension of Hallyu. The core keyword of Hallyu is 'culture', and we agree that the 21st century is an important era dominated by cultural values. At this time, Korean Minjok religions(Korean Native Religions) have the latent value of religious culture that contains the unique spirit of the Korean people, which the world is paying attention to. It is expected that Korean Minjok religions will be established as a field of new Hallyu in the future.
With the theme of Korean Minjok religions and the Korean Wave, this study aims to look at the vision of the new era and the future of Korea, which corresponds to the core worldview of Minjok religions around the time of the 21st century Korean Wave. Accordingly, with the ideology of major Minjok religions, Choi Suwoon's 'Gaebyeok(Great Opening) again', 'Kang Jeungsan's 'Hucheon(Later World)-Gaebyeok', Na Hongam's 'Junggwang(Recovery)-Gaebyeok', Sotaesan's 'Spirit-Gaebyeok', and Yeongsindang's 'Judo-Ggaebyeok' appeared in the ideology of major Minjok religions, I tried to discuss the characteristics of fortune view. Next, I will discuss the relationship between the current state of the Korean Wave and Minjok religions, and seek new possibilities of Minjok religions. Lastly, I would like to suggest an opportunity for Minjok religions to leap to a new level of K-religion 2.0.
