ABSTRACT

The Huguenots refugees not only made economic contributions, but also contributed to the political arena, that is the Glorious Revolution. The story told by refugees has proved suffering of persecution and so the British people's antipathy toward James's pro-Catholic policies has intensified. The Huguenot refugees joined Prince William Orange's army and played an important role in the James’s abdication and the overthrow of Jacobites. In addition, the Huguenot refugees also contributed to the emergence of an alliance against France, for example, King Friedrich III supported William's landing in England to contain Louis XIV.
