AB - Recently, the harbor has lost its original landscape of the coast and its port-space identity due to the scale expansion through landfill and uniform landscape planning. It also made it difficult for people to access. And the purpose of this study is to provide a standard of spatial size for the development of hydrophilic space of harbor and comfort and familiarity to users. According to the method proposed in the study, the size of the surrounding space was 40,000~150,000m2. In order to compare the spatial scale of the various natural villages, the result of the square conversion was 200~400m. This result is a length giving intimacy according to the theory of distance segmentation.
It is difficult to simply define the attributes of the space that can be familiar with it. However, in a sense of space where humans perceive space of a certain size as one space, it is judged that distance is directly related to the recognition of scale. Therefore, if the results of the study are utilized, it will be helpful to create a traditional port space considering human scale and create an attractive landscape.
