AB - The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of humorous dance movements in Choripdong Dance, and to reveal a hidden narrative of the dance and its significance in the history of dance. For the study, Choripdong Dance, which was based on Korean culture and developed into humorous dance movement by Seunghi Choi, is compared to traditional dance types and characteristics. This study aims to restore traditional dances that disappeared as a result of modernization and to reveal their significance in the historical context. This study examines the background of Choripdong Dances developed by Seunghi Choi and other dancers and analyzes them based on the narrative and humor. It can help pass down and reinterpret traditional dances by understanding their power and historical context.
