AB - This study systematically analyzes the application of the Streetscape Greenness Index (SGI) in Seoul’s EIA to identify operational practices and issues and proposes measures to enhance measurement accuracy. A comparison of pre-, planned, and post-construction SGI across 68 cases (2002–2020) shows lower realized SGI than planned values and reveals six recurring error types. Improvements include detailed guidelines, professional training, regular education, and mandatory post-evaluation measurements in EIA follow-up processes.
