ABSTRACT

A Study on the Status of and the Characteristics of <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> in the History of Poetry Lee, Sang-won <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> is a work of Kim, U-goeng(김우굉) in the late of 16 C and included in a copy, Gaehojamrok(개호잡록). Gaehojamrok(개호잡록) was revised in the early of 18 C based on the edition by Kim, Chu-im(김추임) in the middle of 17 C. The written year of <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> is assumed between 1585-1587 and the period was Kim, U-goeng's later years. The motive of <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> is understood in two ways. First, the relation with 'the settlement of Naesungsajok(내성사족)' can be one of reasons, while Kim, U-goeng's move from Seongju to Sangju was remembered. Second, the other could be the succession of Toe Gye School(퇴계학), when it was regarded that <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> succeeded to the pattern of <Dosan-sibigok(도산십이곡)>. What is paid attention to is that <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> is 'Yukga style sijo(육가형 시조)', as the succession of <Dosan-sibigok(도산십이곡)>. However, although both Eonji and Eonhak appeared in <Dosan-sibigok(도산십이곡)>, <Gaeam-sibigok(개암십이곡)> was organized only with Eonji. It was a starting point regarding the direction of 'Yukga style sijo(육가형 시조)' after <Dosan-sibigok(도산십이곡)>.
