A suggestion for Sijo(時調) education in primary, middle and high school Jo, Tae-seong This paper reports the analytic study on present status of Sijo in the textbooks of primary, middle and high schools and suggests some methods for instruction of Sijo. Analyzing Sijo text, it seemed inappropriate for the learning objectives and to be used redundantly. I also argued for the problem with the acceptance of Eoboo-Sasi-Sa. The biggest problem is that the existing Sijo education makes the students learn without the intrinsic comprehension of Sijo. Furthermore, it is being carried out without any connection. In order for Sijo text used for instructional purposes to achieve the general intrinsic comprehension of Sijo, I will accept the conception of 'the continuity of learning'. In other words, the sequential learning successfully shows the effect in Sijo education by making the students learn the musicality, the literariness and the modernity of Sijo, in order.
