ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the importance and performance of teacher librarians’ duties as perceived by teacher librarians, and to analyze whether there are differences in the performance of teacher librarians’ duties as perceived by faculty such as school principals, senior teachers, and teacher librarians. To this end, 9 job areas and 97 job activities were identified. Based on these activities, the importance and performance levels of each job perceived by teacher librarians were analyzed using the IPA method, and differences in the job performance levels perceived by faculty (teacher librarians, principals, and senior teachers) were analyzed. The analysis results showed that among the teacher librarians’ duties, 9 were included in the priority improvement area (Quadrant 2), and 7 were included in the overinvestment area (Quadrant 4). In addition, the job performance of teacher librarians was highest in the order of senior teachers, principals, and teacher librarians, and the difference in perception of teacher librarians’ job performance among faculty was statistically significant.
